Whenever possible, use images created by our photographers available through the Stony Brook Asset Portal, as these reflect the authentic people, places and moments that define who we are. Stock photography should be used sparingly, and only when no suitable branded images exist. Clip art, filters or other graphic shortcuts should never be used, as they dilute the professionalism and consistency of our brand.
The same principle applies to graphic design and illustration: keep visuals clean, consistent and aligned with our brand style — and ask our team for help, too! Illustrations, icons and graphics should come from approved brand resources or be designed to match our look and feel.
